The largest hammered dulcimer festival is held every year during the 3rd weekend in July in a little town, Evan, Michigan. Several thousand people every year come there even if they don’t play, just to enjoy the music and favorite festival food.
Every night there are the outdoor evening concerts, where professionals come not only to perform but also to teach. This festival also supports people who play other acoustic instruments.
This is a classic family festival because there is no alcohol on the grounds. For children, there is a complete workshop and youth stage on Saturday morning.
This event in Bardstown, Kentucky brings together more than 50 best instructors of the mountain and hammered dulcimer, and also many other acoustic instruments, whose names are well known. Kentucky Music Week starts on Sunday evening on June 25. There is a Welcome Party and Jam.
Five days of instruction event classes begin on June 26 at 8:45 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. You can have a great learning experience with instructors who will teach you in a relaxed way and in the friendly atmosphere. There is also a Kids Camp for ages 6-12.
The price of classes varies depends on how much you will take. 4-5 classes per day cost $285.00, 3 – $250.00 and 1-2 – $210.00. Kids Camp costs $150 for all five days and the non-participant cost is $50.
The festival is a dulcimer weekend located in Salem, West Virginia. It features different workshops primarily on the mountain and hammered dulcimers and also many other folk instruments. There will be a lot of experienced musicians from West Virginia. There is also The Friday concert consisting of short sets by a lot of workshop leaders.

Winter Creek Reunion Dulcimer & Acoustic Music Festival
The festival in Bennington, Oklahoma is a great gathering held annually in the beginning of October where you can come and learn all about dulcimers, banjo, guitar and other acoustic instruments. The event features workshops in a variety of many kinds of instruments.
